Thank you for supplying your card details to us, these are held securely as a guarantee for your booking. A non-refundable deposit of 30% is payable upon booking, with the balance taken automatically by our booking system two days prior to your arrival. An invoice will be sent automatically by email.
Access to your room
Guest bedrooms are usually available from midday onwards although could be ready earlier depending on when previous guests depart. We need some time to get rooms ready for your arrival so it is always helpful to know an approximate arrival time. You are very welcome to leave your luggage with us if you arrive early and we can arrange to give you keys where previous guests have vacated the room. If you are arriving out of office hours, please contact us for self check-in details. Your room will be allocated prior to your arrival and we will send you details of key collection if you are checking in after our office has closed (after 5pm). There is an intercom at the front door that calls a member of staff if you need help.
A continental breakfast is provided for you to help yourself to. Breakfast includes a choice of cereals, bagels, bread for toasting, fresh milk, butter, various jams, yoghurt, fruit juice, fresh filter coffee, tea and hot chocolate, fruit and biscuits.
We do not offer a cooked breakfast but there are several good local places that do - we recommend Monty’s Cafe on St. Leonards Road which is within 3-4 minutes’ walk from Alma House. Mention Alma House as they usually give a 10% discount for our guests. If you prefer a gluten-free option please let us know in advance.
There are usually plenty of free parking spaces on Alma Road from 8pm until 8am – outside of these hours it is metered at £1.30 for two hours. There is limited parking on our driveway on a first-come-first-served basis. This parking cannot be guaranteed as one car fits in behind the other and we can only fit about 3 or 4 cars on the driveway. If you need to get off in a hurry the best option is to pay for the metered parking on street.
WHEN LEAVING YOUR CAR you do so at your own risk. Please LEAVE CAR KEYS in your room in case we need to move your car if you are blocking someone.
A member of staff is usually working in the house or the laundry room at the end of the garden from 8:30am until 5:30pm for any local information or advice you may need. Please press the intercom at the front door and they will be alerted.
If they need to pop out during the day, they will put a sign on the door with a number you can call for someone to assist you. Outside of office hours you can contact us in an emergency via our landline +441753 862983
Housekeeping staff on site during the daytime include Kati, Artur, Gary and Helen. They will check you in and show you to your room during office hours (up to 5:30pm). After this time we offer self check-in. You can also call us on 01753 862983. We manage over 50 self catering apartments for longer stays (usually a 7 night minimum depending on the property) hence the number of housekeeping staff. We also have an office at 71-73 Victoria Street in Windsor SL4 1EH where we manage Alma House bookings plus our self catering apartments from. Feel free to pop in during office hours if you need help!
Please pop your key back to the main house on departure. Keys can be put through the letterbox of the main house (up the front stairs) if there is no answer at the door. If you need to speak to us please call our landline on 01753 862983 or press the intercom by the main front door - we are in the house mainly during the day time but not always.

Windsor is a bustling, thriving town full of things to do. With so much history and fabulous architecture you can wander the streets aimlessly snapping great pictures of life as it happens, beautiful wildlife on the river, the many fabulous buildings and parks.
Visit Windsor Castle, Eton College, Savill Gardens, the Theatre, take a boat trip on the Thames, a horse and carriage ride around the sights, take a trampoline bungy-jump in Alexandra Gardens, hire a bicycle, do some shopping, take a coffee break and watch the world go by.
With fabulous bars and restaurants, lovely walks and play parks for kids, the leisure centre for swimming, badminton, fitness training and beauty therapy including massage, there is plenty to see and do to keep you entertained! Windsor hosts some fabulous international events throughout the year such as the HORSE SHOW and Royal Ascot.

Great stay and very positive all round. Everything was very clean indeed. Private bathroom was lovely. The kitchen area has every you could want and was like home from home. Only a short walk for nice food and then just down the road into the town centre. Off-road parking was helpful as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
