Goswell House is proud to be located smack dab in the centre of the historic town of Windsor, one of England's most famous destinations. Our unique location is one of the many reasons that our customers keep coming back, as our 17-room hotel is situated right in the middle of Windsor’s main high street; just a few moments’ walk from the iconic Windsor Castle, Theatre Royal, and St Georges’ Chapel, we’ve got almost 1,000 years of British history and magnificent architecture right on our doorstep!
Even closer to the hotel we have Windsor Royal Shopping, a fabulous array of elegant shops and eateries inside a beautiful Victorian railway station which can be traced back to the 1850s. Although the old station's waiting rooms, and ticket booths have long since been converted into modern luxury retailers, many of the features of the original Victorian structure still remain, including Jubilee Arch and the atmospheric cobblestones, not to mention a full-scale replica of the steam locomotive ‘The Queen’, the train that transported Queen Victoria (the first British monarch to travel by rail) between Windsor and London. The impressive building just next-door (now an All Bar One) was originally purpose-built for the Royal Family’s exclusive use, and to this day you can have a drink or something to eat in what was once Queen Victoria's personal waiting room.

Although it boasts a rich historical heritage and culture, with stunning views of the Castle at the East end, Windsor Royal Shopping also offers an exciting range of over 40 cutting-edge fashion boutiques, health and beauty retailers, art galleries, and contemporary eateries.

Whether you’re seeking to update your wardrobe with the latest looks, find everything you need for a luxurious self-care day, enjoy a gourmet meal or even just treat yourself to a coffee, Windsor Royal Shopping has it all and more, just 10 metres from Goswell House’s front door.
